Project Manager for infrastructure development and operations at Fanø Municipality

About the position

As a project manager, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining Fanø’s technical solutions and infrastructure. You’ll work closely with colleagues, citizens, advisors, and politicians, with tasks including:

• Development and maintenance of infrastructure: Roads, paths, squares, dikes, and green areas.
• Project management: From large construction projects such as roadbuilding and dike construction to smaller technical tasks.
• Waste management and sustainability: Optimizing recycling centers and developing circular solutions.
• Political preparation and communication: Preparing cases for committees and the town council, and communicating complex solutions to citizens and politicians.
• Facilitating collaboration and dialogue: Organizing town meetings, workshops, and cooperation with local actors.
• Port development: Developing strategies and possibly taking on the role of harbor master.

About you

We are looking for a versatile and proactive individual who thrives with responsibility and can create value across technical areas. You should find motivation in working within a smaller organization where collaboration and holistic solutions are emphasized.

Ideally, we envision that you:

• Are an engineer, such as a technical or academic engineer specializing in environmental science, construction, climate, or other relevant fields like geotechnics or infrastructure.
• Have experience in the development and operations of technical infrastructure, such as roads, paths, dikes, and green areas.
• Have expertise in planning and executing physical projects like roadbuilding or dike construction, or have a strong interest in these areas.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technically complex subjects.
• Are comfortable preparing and presenting political cases and proposals, and are capable of taking on technical or administrative authority tasks.
