Lead Solution Architect

The job

Do you have extensive experience with software architecture and full-stack development based on .NET? If so, you have the opportunity to play a key role at Medicin.dk and contribute to delivering medication information to healthcare professionals and citizens.

DLI and Medicin.dk are looking for a Lead Solution Architect who, in collaboration with a small development team, will be responsible for the architecture of Medicin.dk’s complex internal systems and products for healthcare professionals and citizens. You will become the team lead for four experienced developers. Your role will be split, with approximately 60% focus on software architecture and team leadership, and 40% on full-stack development.

You will work closely with the development team, Medicin.dk’s professional staff, healthcare professionals, and external partners. The development team is responsible for developing and maintaining self-developed backend systems for Medicin.dk, websites under the name Medicin.dk, APIs for delivering medication information to the healthcare sector, APIs for delivering data and rules to the Common Medicine Decision Support (FMB), and other solutions such as apps. These solutions are used in Denmark and the Nordic countries.

As an employee at DLI, you will be part of the LIF group – the Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry, which includes several smaller companies.

About you

You are proactive, solution-oriented, and have a strong interest in software development, technology, and the healthcare sector.

You need to be innovative, possess strong analytical skills, and be good at understanding complex, new professional issues. It’s important that you can communicate and present solutions to non-technical staff and customers.

You should be able to inspire, motivate, and energize the team.

You will help ensure quality in development work, focus on high IT security, and contribute to a high degree of automation in solutions.

A significant portion of the work involves collaborating with various healthcare professionals and IT operations, so experience working with multiple professional groups across the organization and with external partners is an advantage.

Professional background and experience

You should have experience as a solution architect and full-stack developer within the .NET field. You have solid experience with:

  • C#/.NET, .NET Standard, and .NET Core, Visual Studio.
  • Object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Microsoft SQL and Entity Framework.
  • Development of REST APIs or similar.
  • Development of complex solutions with interfaces between backend and frontend.

It would be a plus to have:

  • Experience with healthcare sector systems and developing systems for the healthcare sector.
  • DevOps experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with FHIR.
  • Development of AI-based solutions, such as generative AI.
  • Agile software development.
