About the department

The IT & Automation department is a central part of Novafos’ digital transformation and technical innovation. The department comprises approximately 45 employees divided into four specialized teams: Electrical, IT, Digitization, and SCADA. The SCADA team consists of eight experienced employees with strong competencies in automation technology, SCADA, and PLC. The culture is characterized by collaboration and knowledge sharing, with a trustful and informal atmosphere where teamwork is key.

About the position

Novafos is undergoing a comprehensive upgrade of its automation platform, consolidating SCADA systems into a unified system. As the Team Lead for SCADA, you will play a vital role in leading and coordinating the team’s work. You will oversee both large and small tasks related to the operation, optimization, and maintenance of facilities and systems. Acting as a technical sparring partner, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions by the team.

You will also be responsible for fostering a positive work environment where employees thrive and develop professionally. Additionally, you will handle task management and collaborate with both internal and external suppliers. The role includes weekly follow-ups on employee well-being and professional challenges, participation in cross-organizational meetings, and contributing to the development of new tenders in collaboration with the procurement department.

Responsibilities

• Weekly follow-up with SCADA employees on well-being and professional challenges
• Ensuring the quality and optimization of tasks, processes, and facilities
• Coordinating and managing supplier collaborations in partnership with the team’s project manager
• Assessing whether tasks are best handled internally or by subcontractors

Novafos is seeking a team lead with a technical background, preferably as an engineer or automation technologist, and experience with SCADA and PLC systems. You have previous leadership experience and thrive in a role where you ensure both professional quality and employee satisfaction.
